coloropolis 2

Coloropolis 2 is concieved as an installation which under certain rules can always be shown again in various compositional forms. It was presented during the exhibition „142 years of art“ in the Affenfaust Galerie in Hamburg, Germany. Coloropolis 2 consists of eight modules, where different color spectra form each modul in concave an convax form. The interaction between the viewer and the artwork results from the continuous perception of the interplay of the parameters near/far, small/large, light/shadow or transparent/opaque. With an object that seems rigid, but in its single and whole form is full of movement, there are great possibilities of discovery. The almost surreal appearance of the installation in real space and on photographs leads to the further development as Fineartprint. At first four perspectives were selected, which were each released as an edition of ten through the Affenfaust gallery. Through their authenticity of colour and depth of space, just as the real installation, they succeed to create a three-dimensional feeling, even in a two-dimensional form.
