dorian and henry

In 2016, Quintessenz has now already been part of the IBUG festival for the sixth time. Like every year, it’s a “must do” for the artist duo. The design of the space of approximately 25 square meters was designed on the basis of the book “The picture of Dorian Gray” by Oscar Wilde. Being able to feel and understand the idea of the other, and to expand or limit it was an important process and thus a substantial part of the resulting work. Two artworks facing and communicating with each other, are alike and yet so different at the same time. By not being able to recognize that the end product was created by two different people, it seems like the soul was exchanged during the process.
