Starting 2008 we created a series of illustrated animals, ranging from fineliner drawings, to paintings to street-art posters to graffiti. While the chosen media, size and species changed every time, one element became a constant with all representations: the absence of pupils. We wanted to avoid classic emotional impressions and replace them with the simplicity of form, reducing illustration to a playful take on the ultimate language of shape and composition.
