The MS Artville in Hamburg Wilhemsburg has given the duo the chance of working in a very unique setting. Close to the harbor area, where nature meets the scenery of industrialization, Quintessenz had the possibility to erect their installation in the chest high grass. In this combination the colors of the installation are rarely found in nature and definitely create a contrast, even though at certain times of day it almost seems to fuse into a symbiosis with it’s enviroment. The green grass, the foggy distance of the industry, the sunlight and the clear lines of the installation generate a well-balanced interplay, that lets their reccuring method of working with the components adaption and contrast become strongly visible. The composition adapts itself to the distant architecture of the warehouse district and depending on the light incidence the effect of the colors changes between adaption and repulsion.
